Our Impact

In 2023, the national membership voted to give
$462K to six grant recipients.

Each doctor will receive over $77K.

Providing funding for cancer research is the Phi Beta Psi National Project. Research grants are given to doctors throughout the country working in the field of cancer research. The money we raise for these grants comes from funeral memorials, roadblocks, and other donations designated specifically for this cause.

Annually, grants are presented to six doctors in the field of cancer research. One hundred percent of all memorials and donations made to our National Project (cancer research) are granted to doctors and researchers of various types of cancer.

Each year, the Indiana State Scholarship Committee awards up to ten $1,000 scholarships, based on available funds, to students pursuing a career in the medical technology field to assist with their college expenses. Xi Chapter has been fortunate to sponsor many of these students from Batesville and surrounding areas. Adults may also apply for the scholarship.

Since 1941, over

$11.5 Million

has been given in grants to doctors for cancer research.
